Bay - Laurus nobilis

An aromatic evergreen tree with glossy leaves which are used widely to flavour food, especially in a bouquet garni. It is fragrant and soothing to the senses.

Sweet Bay has been symbolic throughout history being the laurel wreath of ancient Greece and said to mean prosperity and fame.
